In an exciting world which is too small for human too see, two electrons are faced with a mystery to solve.
Set inside a world of high-tech gadgets and machinery that we humans take for granted, in their quest to find the next thrill, two teenage electrons, Kev and Jewell, are faced with one mystery and challenge after another.
Their comfortable world has been turned on end. Electrons are disappearing. Could it be connected with Jewell’s missing sister?

HEROES
Kev & Jewell are free electrons. They are both age 15 and are expert flyers. At first they really get on each other's nerves.
Kev is the charming, big man on campus and it bugs him that Jewell is the better flyer. Jewell is rather shy and is guarding a secret, so she cannot deal with Kev's arrogance.
As their world is turned upside down and the mystery of Jewell's missing sister deepens, necessity pulls them together. Perhaps they will learn how to be good friends and maybe even fall in love?

Slurp
E. Slurpus Maximus, Slurp for short, comes from a long heritage of big eaters. He tries his best to outdo his ancestors. He even tried to eat a horse once. His buddy said, "Me so hungry, I could eat horse." Slurp said, "Great idea!" And then he tried.

Streppy
Streppy reminds one of a pug, a dog with a face that only a mother could love. He is not malicious. He just sees the world as one big ice cream cone. He wants to lick everything, including other bacteria, which gets him into trouble with Plocko. Intelligence is not his forte.

Dophila
Dophila is just plain weird. She loves to eat, of course, but seems to be more interested in using her tongue for other purposes. She likes turning the other bacteria orange (like her). If she hits another bacteria with her tongue, they turn orange within 4 minutes. Nobody has ever heard her utter a single word. She just grunts. This could be because she doesn't need oxygen and thus, she never breathes.

Plocko
Plocko is big boss man of the bacteria. Most of the bacteria are just big disgusting slobs and Plocko is the biggest, rudest, most malicious, and most disgusting. Even the other bacteria do not like him. He is slightly more intelligent than the other bacteria and can actually string a full sentence together.

Jewell is pronounced just like "Joule", the SI unit of energy.
Jewell is an adrenaline-junkie. Not much else is important to her at this point in life. She is headstrong and impulsive. She can be bossy and when she bosses, others obey. She is a natural leader. Like Kev, she is an expert flyer.
Kev is her best friend. She is actually in love with Kev, but does not know it yet.

CHARACTER
Most will assume that Kev is short for Kevin. keV is actually the abbreviation for kiloelectron volt, the unit of energy which is proportional to the speed of a flying electron.
Age does not equal maturity. Kev may have been around since the Big Bang, but that doesn’t mean he has grown up. Like Jewell, he is an adrenaline-junkie. It’s all about the thrill. Unlike Jewell, he is not bossy. He is more of a space cadet, a puppy dog. The world is full of wonders and he is fascinated by all of them. He is always distracted by the next cool thing and the next thing is always the coolest thing ever. This annoys Jewell.
Just like Jewell, he is a natural leader. But, he is not a “take charge” kind of guy. Others simply follow him; all except Jewell. When she is present, he follows her around like a puppy.
Like Jewell, he is an expert flyer. He is extremely competitive with Jewell when they are flying.
